Extinct
Species that no longer exist anywhere, because the last one has died.
What does extinct mean?
Dinosaurs, woolly mammoths and the dodo — a flightless bird from the island of Mauritius — are all extinct.
Once a species is extinct, there is no way to bring it back. That's why protecting endangered animals matters so much.
